Lotus clothing & merchandise has been lovingly created by Lynn because she knows only too well that many of us (including herself), want to carry positive messages of peace, love and social justice with them wherever they go.
Exercise has always been an important part of Lynn’s life. Following a passion for gymnastics, Lynn has now been a regular in yoga classes and the gym for over 30 years. From 2014 however that interest developed and grew into a real interest in vegan bodybuilding, this was inspired and motivated by people like Robert Cheeke, Torre Washington and Barny & Josie du Plessis (Josie Keck at that time). In 2015 Lynn began training with a professional bodybuilder (a bodybuilder who now himself is almost 100% plant-based). Her routine involved cardio & lifting weights which resulted in building muscle and getting much stronger; the muscle gained in turn started a lot of positive conversations about fit & healthy vegan living.
Lifting dumbbells & barbells and dead-lifting in the gym is the ideal time to promote plant-based eating & veganism. However, back then finding vegan branded gym gear coupled with quality and style was no easy task, so Lynn decided to do it herself. Once she did it for herself, she then wanted to share what she had created with other fitness loving vegans; and so Bohemian Hippy launched – a site to sell such products on a nonprofit basis.
The Lotus designs carry strong, clear and positive messages. It is our strong hope that when these messages appear on clothing and merchandise they will inspire, motivate and make people think about living an ethically conscious lifestyle.
